Special discount for RCGP Associates in Training (AiTs)
RCGP AiTs are now eligible for a 15% discount on Income Protection Plus, for your first five years’ premiums, ensuring you are protected throughout the rest of your GP training, into your early years of independent practice and beyond.*
While you’re training to become a GP, dedicating your life to treating patients with illness and injury, what if the unexpected happened and you found yourself unable to work due to illness or injury? Could you afford to keep up with your financial commitments while you recover?
GP training can be challenging enough. That’s why the RCGP and PG Mutual are providing this exclusive offer, giving you peace of mind so you can focus on training and into independent practice.
Our Income Protection Plus plan is designed with GPs in mind. In the event you were unable to practice due to illness or injury, we could provide you with a regular monthly income to replace your salary so that your outgoings are covered until you recover or reach age 65 (whichever comes first).
Whether you continue as a salaried GP, a locum, a partner, or in private practice, we can offer flexible cover for your role or a combination of different roles, which may demand a deferment period starting from day one up to twelve months. If you need day one cover for your locum work but a 6-month deferment for your salaried work, PG Mutual can also accommodate this.
*The discounted premium is applied to the first five years of your PG Mutual policy, regardless of when your policy starts. This offer is only available to active RCGP AiT members. An alternative offer is available for post-AiT RCGP members.
